Nutritics CEO Stephen Nolan wins EY Sustainability Entrepreneur of the Year

Our winning streak continues! Last night (Wednesday, November 30th), our CEO Stephen Nolan was crowned the first ever EY Sustainability Entrepreneur of the Year at the EY Entrepreneur of the Year (EoY) awards.

The EY Entrepreneur of the Year is a unique global programme that recognises entrepreneurial achievement amongst individuals and companies that demonstrate vision, leadership and success. Nominees are ambitious entrepreneurs who lead high growth and successful businesses. They are described as high-potential, dynamic, resourceful and ‘ones-to-watch’ for the future.

The brand new EY Sustainability Entrepreneur of The Year award was designed for the finalist who “is making the biggest contribution towards environmental sustainability through their business, recognising the critical importance of innovation leadership in meeting our collective sustainability challenges”.

Stephen’s win comes as a result of Foodprint, our pioneering, fully automated environmental impact scoring system for the hospitality and food service sector, which launched this year.

Foodprint calculates the climate impact of recipes and menus, and helps food businesses to measure, analyse and manage their sustainability goals. The software allows operators to gain visibility and control over the carbon footprint of their supply chain and to track trends over time. It also facilitates the display of carbon footprint scores on menus, giving customers the power to make environmentally-informed decisions.

Our research shows that the information provided by Foodprint will reduce the carbon emissions of recipes at our partner sites by an average of about 13%. We estimate that in 2023, Foodprint will contribute to the removal of 27 million kilograms of CO2 from the environment, equivalent to removing 21,000 cars, or planting 1.6m trees.

Nutritics is very proud to see Stephen recognised in such a prestigious awards ceremony.
