Tell us about yourself — what has your career path been to date, and how did it lead you to where you are today?

I studied Nutritional Sciences at the University of Porto, here in Portugal. After that, I moved to the UK and worked there in the NHS as a Registered Dietitian for five years! I covered lots of different clinical areas, but my favourite was definitely paediatrics. However, I’ve always wanted to explore nutrition outside of the clinical setting, so when an opportunity came up in Nutritics I was very excited.

How long have you been part of Nutritics?

About a year and a half now.

What attracted you to the company?

I was using Nutritics when I was working in the NHS and really saw the benefit of it in clinical practice — so when there was an opportunity to work ‘on the other side’, I decided to try it.

What’s your current job title, and what does your role entail?

I’m part of the Customer Success team and I work as a Customer Onboarding Specialist. My goal is to maximise customer lifetime value and build strong customer relations, and to grow and scale up alongside our customers.

What do you like most about your job?

It’s probably a cliché but, given my background in healthcare, I really enjoy helping people. I love it when our customers are able to reach their goals using Nutritics. I also like the variety of customers I get to work with.

What’s your favourite thing about working for Nutritics?

I’d say the flexibility and the people — it really is a great group.

How do you define success?

Success for me is consistently achieving the objectives I set for myself, whether that’s professionally or personally. It’s also having an open mind to adjust these if circumstances change!

Tell us one thing you’ve learned in the last month — work-related or otherwise.

I was watching a documentary and learnt that cats only ‘miaow’ to communicate with humans, not at each other!

What is the best career lesson you’ve learned so far?

Don’t be afraid to take risks, ask questions and challenge yourself whenever possible. What doesn’t feel comfortable right now is likely what will make you grow… and that sometimes it’s okay to take one step back if it allows you to take two steps forward!

What do you like to do when you’re not working?

I love spending time with friends and family, travelling, going for long walks by the seafront and just being active in general, but a Netflix and chill session doesn’t hurt either.

What’s one thing you can’t live without?

Coffee!

Where’s your favourite place in the world?

The UK was my home for five years and the Isle of Wight has a special place in my heart for many reasons, but my favourite place is Leça da Palmeira, by the beach.

What are the three words that describe you best?

I asked my friends and husband and they said: loyal, kind and easy-going!

What’s the one food you cannot resist?

Chocolate chip cookies!

Tell us a fun fact about you that not many people know.

I did classical ballet for 15 years.
